Pop sensation CMAT has taken Ireland and the UK by storm and she plans to do the same to the rest of the world, tour after tour. The Irish singer-songwriter announces her new European dates for early 2025, and Brussels is on board! Behold CMAT at La Madeleine on Saturday 8 February.

CMAT is the cryptic stage name of Ciara Mary Alice Thompson. When she was still part of an electropop group from Manchester, she met Charli XCX at a workshop. She advised her to leave everything behind and start all over again. Ciara therefore returned to Ireland and developed the solo project CMAT, which she describes as a cross between Dolly Parton, Weird Al Yankovic and Katy Perry. CMAT uses her soft but powerful voice to colour lyrics that tackle emotional topics such as break-ups and self-destructive behaviour with ‘camp’ humour. A successful gamble for the young Irish woman, as she now has two No 1 albums to her name in her native country and nominations for the BRIT Awards, the Ivor Novello Prize and the Mercury Prize. Over the years, CMAT has also established a solid live reputation thanks to her brash and infectious energy, as previously showcased during her performances at the Botanique in 2022 and 2024.
