At a very young age, Henry Moodie started playing guitar on the advice of his mother, a psychotherapist, to channel his emotions through music. As a teenager, he built a fan base on YouTube and Instagram with covers of his idols, including Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. With a degree from the prestigious BIMM music school in his pocket and a first experience in a band, the young Brit found his way as a solo musician and songwriter with vulnerable and timeless lyrics. His singles “you were there for me” and “drunk text” – accounting for 97 million and 239 million streams respectively! – were his first steps into the music world. Henry Moodie can already boast an impressive stage record, opening for pop stars like Mimi Webb, The Vamps and Lauren Spencer Smith, as well as garnering success with shows of his own such as at a sold-out Kavka in Antwerp last year. Since the release of his EP ‘in all of my lonely nights’ at the end of January, Moodie is already working on the next chapter: his new single “bad emotions” will be released on 21 June, and a European tour is planned for this autumn!
