Kikuo, the Japanese producer, is coming to La Madeleine in Brussels on Friday 7 February 2025. It will be an unforgettable musical experience! Ticket sales start on Friday 14 June at 10am via www.fkpscorpio.be

Kikuo is a pioneer of Vocaloid, a computer system used to create a fictional singing voice. It has been a widespread musical phenomenon in Japan for years, songs produced via Vocaloid gaining millions of streams and a fanatical following. Kikuo has been creating catchy songs with the system since 2010. One fan on a forum describes the music as follows: ‘Kikuo is a Japanese VOCALOID producer who depicts your worst nightmares in songs. He is known for deepening disturbing topics with an eerie and upbeat energy. Kikuo’s sound is unlike any other. He mixes instruments and sound effects into aural textures you can almost feel as you listen.’

Intriguing? Definitely.

His use of unique instrumental structures, harmonies and sound effects have pushed Kikuo’s popularity sky-high. Result: over 1.4 million listeners on Spotify and nearly 100 million views on Youtube with the song ‘Love Me, Love Me, Love Me’. The Japanese producer mainly uses Hatsune Miku’s voice in his Vocaloid songs and has made demos for Tone Rion, IA, ANri Rune and Hatsune Miku V3. His most-listened-to tracks are ‘Gomenne, Gomenne’, ‘Kimi Wa Dekinai Ko’ and ‘Aishite, Aishite, Aishite’ (or thus ‘Love Me, Love Me, Love Me’).

Kikuo’s special arrangements stand out, making him the world’s biggest Vocaloid producer thanks to his loyal fans. He is coming to La Madeleine in Brussels on Friday 7 February, which will be a feast for all lovers of the genre anyway. Ticket sales start on Friday 14 June at 10am via www.fkpscorpio.be
