Toufik alias Tif is an artist from Algiers living in Paris.
This music-loving rapper, who can rap and sing in both French and Arabic, made a big splash with his track 3iniya (“the eyes”) in 2020.
The video clip, shot in Algiers, won him an audience in Algeria and France (+830k views). His debut project Houma Sweet Houma (“neighbourhood my sweet neighbourhood”), released in May 2022, has already racked up over 4 million streams, while the video for his latest single Hinata has topped 6 million views.
His first 5 French dates scheduled in the space of five months have sold out.
A documentary, On the Corner (+136k views), retraces his journey from a youth torn by the need to go into exile, to an uprooting that has left its mark.
