Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has become the figurehead of contemporary afrobeats. Since his debut in 2010 and his first album “L.I.F.E” (2013), successes have followed in quick succession. ‘African Giant’ (2019) earned him a Grammy nomination, while “Twice as Tall” (2020) won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album.
