Folk rock sensation Kingfishr announced a new album yesterday AND they released a new single, but the good news doesn’t stop there. On Tuesday 4 November, the Irish band will also give a magical concert at La Madeleine in Brussels. Tickets are available from Friday 30 May at 11am via livenation.be.

Kingfishr is a three-piece band from Ireland, born out of a friendship between three students at the University of Limerick. Their name refers to the kingfisher, which, like their music, is

colourful and vibrant. The band combines folk, rock, electronica and elements of spoken word into a compelling and emotionally charged sound.

Since their debut in 2022 with the single ‘flowers-fire’, released just before their graduation, things have been going fast for Kingfishr. With songs like ‘Caroline’, ‘I Cried, I Wept’ and ‘Man On The Moon’, they conquered hearts at home and abroad. Their recent live album, ‘Live From Dublin’ (2024), proves that they also impress on stage. So yesterday, they announced the arrival of brand new album ‘Halcyon’, scheduled for release on 22 August.
