Lou, 27, started stand-up comedy in 2021, fulfilling a childhood dream. He trained at the Académie d’Humour in Paris and cut his teeth on stage with the support of Shirley Souagnon.
Initially, he presented himself as a heterosexual woman before the stage prompted him to question his identity. In 2022, Lou came out as trans non-binary on stage, marking the true beginning of his career.
He gained recognition at the Pride Comedy Show in 2023 with his sketch ‘Mérou’ (Grouper), a fish that changes gender during its lifetime—just like Lou.
Lou is one of the first trans voices in the French-speaking comedy scene. His first column on France Inter in October 2023 went viral on social media. Since then, he has appeared on the Jamel Comedy Club, Le Mag de la santé, and at the Montreux Comedy Festival.
His show ‘Mérou’ is currently a major success in Paris and on tour. Lou and his artistic team, Amiel Maucade and Sandra Calderan, succeed in both making people laugh and touching the hearts of all genders and generations.
